Les grandes sociétés financières expérimentent les cryptomonnaies très discrètement. Cette fois-ci, c’est le géant français Groupe Société Générale (SocGen)<\/b> dont il est question. <\/p>

En avril, Société Générale SFH<\/b>, une filiale de la Société Générale, a vendu 100 millions d’euros, soit 112 millions USD, d’obligations sécurisées<\/a> (créances adossées à des créances hypothécaires) sous forme de jetons numériques. Cela pourrait être une grande nouvelle pour les actifs numériques.<\/p>

Selon la Société Générale, l’obligation a été émise à titre de jeton de sécurité sur la blockchain Ethereum (ETH) et a obtenu la plus haute cote de crédit de Moody’s Investors Service<\/b> et de Fitch Ratings. La société, qui compte près de 2 000 milliards USD d’actifs, compte 31 millions de clients répartis dans 67 pays.<\/p>

Société Générale FORGE<\/b>, une startup interne lancée dans le cadre du programme d’intrapreneuriat de la banque, l’Internal Startup Call<\/i>, a utilisé cette transaction pour tester si et comment la technologie crypto pouvait être utilisée comme un moyen plus efficace pour émettre des obligations, améliorer la scalabilité, réduire les coûts, les temps de transaction et la rapidité de règlement des titres. \u00ab\u00a0Cette startup expérimente des solutions disruptives en utilisant la technologie de la blockchain pour développer de nouvelles activités sur le marché financier numérique\u00a0\u00bb, a déclaré la Société Générale.<\/p>

Même si les entreprises financières traditionnelles se méfient la plupart du temps des jetons numériques, les évangélistes des cryptos prédisent une utilisation plus large des offres de jetons de sécurité (STO). Pour les sceptiques, les STO ne sont qu’un moyen de gonfler la bulle crypto.<\/p>

\u00ab\u00a0La prolifération de la tokenisation dans la finance va se produire, mais ne vous attendez pas à ce qu’elle devienne générale dans un avenir immédiat\u00a0\u00bb, a déclaré à Bloomberg Romal Almazo<\/b>, responsable crypto et blockchain chez Capco<\/b>, un cabinet de conseil en technologies financières.<\/p>

Le marché des STO devrait croître cette année, mais à un rythme soutenu – et l’explosion pourrait survenir d’ici 2021, selon Carlos Domingo<\/b>, fondateur et PDG de la plateforme de jetons de sécurité Securitize<\/b>.<\/p>

La Société Générale n’est pas étrangère aux projets liés à la cryptographie. Le 18 avril, ils avaient annoncé que leur we.trade<\/b>, une plateforme de financement du commerce reposant sur une blockchain, était désormais disponible pour leurs clients en France. La banque appelle cela “la plate-forme la plus avancée pour la numérisation, la sécurisation et le financement des transactions en entreprise”, qui a été réalisée en collaboration avec le géant de la technologie IBM<\/b>.<\/p>

De plus, en septembre dernier, la a Société Générale faisait partie de la coentreprise créée par quinze institutions internationales de financement, de négoce et de production, appelée komgo SA, développée en partenariat avec la société de technologie logicielle blockchain, Ethereum, ConsenSys<\/b>. La nouvelle plateforme est basée à Genève, en Suisse, et vise à numériser les processus de financement du commerce et les commodités, tout en améliorant la transparence et en réduisant le risque de fraude.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
