Un nouveau rapport de recherche de la société d’investissement CoVenture, supporté par le géant financier japonais SBI Holdings<\/b>, a identifié deux stratégies que tout le monde peut utiliser pour identifier les bourses qui font du wash trading<\/i> ou qui gonflent les volumes de trading en achetant et en vendant simultanément des actifs cryptos.<\/p>

Le volume est l’une des considérations les plus importantes à prendre en compte lors du choix d’un exchange.<\/p>

«Le Wash Trading est un processus où un trader passe un ordre d’achat et de vente à des prix identiques sans que l’actif en question ne change de propriétaire. Des robots sont utilisés pour automatiser ces commandes, ce qui entraîne une augmentation artificielle du volume. Cela donne un illusion de liquidité», a expliqué CoVenture.<\/p>

Selon le rapport<\/a>, les échanges suivent généralement un schéma prévisible pour donner l’impression que leur volume de transactions est supérieur à ce qu’il est:<\/p>

En outre, le rapport explique également deux stratégies pouvant être utilisées par n’importe qui pour repérer un volume de transactions suspect et inorganique sur un marché crypto.<\/p>

La première stratégie consiste à comparer le volume quotidien échangé au nombre moyen de visiteurs quotidiens sur le site. Ce ratio peut ensuite être étudié sur plusieurs échanges afin de comprendre à quoi ressemblerait un ratio «normal».<\/p>

Une autre stratégie consiste à analyser la profondeur du carnet de commandes d’un échange. Pour ce faire, les auteurs du rapport ont utilisé les données du site Web CryptoCompare<\/b>.<\/p>

CoinBene<\/b> est l’un des exchanges cryptos identifiés dans le rapport comme ayant un volume inorganique particulièrement élevé. En novembre 2017, il était un exchange relativement méconnu et depuis il se classe systématiquement parmi les 25 premiers exchanges en terme de volume sur CoinMarketCap.<\/p>

Pour expliquer pourquoi les bourses se lancent dans le wash trading, le rapport a illustré le problème auquel elles sont confrontées en tant que problème classique «de la poule ou de l’œuf»; Pour atteindre un volume élevé, les investisseurs doivent trader, mais ils ont tendance à s’orienter vers les échanges à volume élevé.»<\/p>

Comme indiqué précédemment sur Cryptonews.com, la pratique consistant à simuler le volume d’une transaction sur une bourse par le biais d’une opération de wash trading est encore bien réelle.
