ABCC Exchange<\/b>, une plateforme d’échange crypto basée à Singapour, a annoncé lundi qu’un consortium d’investisseurs pour un montant non divulgué avait acquis le contrôle majoritaire de la société, dans le but de «transformer de manière agressive ABCC en une plateforme d’échange crypto de premier plan».<\/p>

La bourse est actuellement classée au 71ème rang mondial par le nombre de transactions sur CoinMarketCap (23 millions USD au cours des dernières 24 heures).<\/p>

Selon un communiqué de l’échange, le consortium est dirigé par le cofondateur d’ABCC, Calvin Cheng<\/b>, et par le grand investisseur singapourien, Eric Cheng<\/b>. La société n’a fourni aucun autre détail concernant la transaction.<\/p>

En mai 2018, Eric Cheng serait devenu le premier étranger à posséder 100% d’une plateforme de crypto-trading enregistrée au Japon après avoir acheté l’échange BitTrade<\/b> pour 50 millions USD et vendu plus tard la plupart des actions à l’exchange Huobi<\/b>. Pendant ce temps, Calvin Cheng a dirigé un consortium basé à Hong Kong pour acquérir les actifs de BTCC<\/b>, le plus ancien échange crypto au monde.<\/p>

ABCC a son siège à Singapour, mais a également des bureaux à Malte et à Gibraltar. Le volume des échanges de la bourse a fluctué au cours des derniers mois et figurait parmi les 10 plus grandes bourses au monde en termes de volume des échanges au deuxième semestre de 2018.<\/p>

La société a déclaré que son objectif futur serait de continuer à renforcer sa présence en Asie du Sud-Est et en Europe, qu’elle considère comme ses deux principaux marchés.<\/p>

«Je suis confiant dans l’avenir d’ABCC avec sa plateforme de grande renommée et hautement évolutive. ABCC est bien établie dans l’Ouest, en particulier en Europe, et fait partie du top 10 des échanges mondiaux», a déclaré Eric Cheng dans un commentaire.<\/p>

ABCC Exchange propose un large choix de trading, notamment des paires basées sur le populaire stablecoin Tether. Bien que la bourse ne prenne pas en charge le trading fiat-crypto, elle offre néanmoins un service de gré à gré (OTC) où les utilisateurs peuvent acheter des bitcoins et de l’ether en dollars américains ou en euros.<\/p>
