Créée en Octobre 2017, BigBlock Datacenter<\/a> conçoit et gère des unités fixes ou mobiles (en containers) dédiées aux calculs Blockchain, et propose aux mineurs européens de l’hébergement dans ses fermes partenaires. Déjà présente en Russie et en Ukraine, la startup française continue son expansion et dévoile son nouveau projet de ferme géante sur le site d’Almaty, au Kazakhstan. <\/p>

Baptisé HASHLABS 1,<\/b> cette ferme répond selon BigBlock Datacenter, à tous ses critères “Du kWh green, en abondance, très bon marché et avec une pérennité de l’offre”. Selon l’entreprise, \u00ab\u00a0ce site bénéficie d’avancées techniques déterminantes, et d’un prix de kW\/h hors norme (2,6 cts d’€)\u00a0\u00bb. <\/p>

\u00ab\u00a0Le timing est idéal, selon JF Augusti, CTO. La récente baisse du hashrate nous donne une position beaucoup plus enviable, environ 80% du mining mondial étant plus cher que le nôtre. Cela nous assure une existence sur le très long terme sur ce site ; de plus, nous avons accès au matériel reconditionné chez Bitmain, garantit, à des prix très bas\u00a0\u00bb. <\/p>

Cryptonews a demandé à Sébastien Gouspillou<\/a> pourquoi avoir choisi cette région du monde pour implanter sa ferme:<\/p>

\u00ab\u00a0Dès Novembre 2017, les prix du kW\/h en Ukraine se sont envolés. Nous avons alors commencé à chercher un endroit idéal, avec les critères suivants: de l’électricité « verte » en quantité, avec des tarifs structurellement bas, dans un pays Bitcoin friendly<\/i>. Avec Robert Corby (consultant et associé de l’entreprise), nous nous sommes partagés la tâche, nous avons prospecté partout. C’est lui qui s’est chargé de la prospection au Kazakhstan. Ce pays répondait aux critères, sur le papier. Il a fallu trouver le bon endroit, les bons interlocuteurs. Nous avons alors rencontré des collègues déjà implantés dans le pays, et missionné des avocats locaux pour nous aider dans nos démarches. Nous avons identifié une zone idéalement placée, entre le barrage de Kapshagay, un champs éolien et une ferme solaire. Nous tenions à être propriétaires, nous avons eu la chance de trouver ce terrain d’un hectare et avons finalement réussi à nous en porter acquéreurs : en mars 2018 notre société Hashlabs créée pour l’occasion à Almaty obtenait son titre de propriété\u00a0\u00bb. <\/p>

Est-ce que cette ferme est la première d’une série? Le président de BigBlock Datacenter répond par l’affirmative. \u00ab\u00a0Pour l’heure, nous sommes propriétaires d’un transformateur de 15 MW ; la ferme que nous lançons fait 5MW, nous prévoyons l’extension à 15 MW sur 6 mois. Mais nous avons la place et la disponibilité électrique pour grossir sur ce site, nous pensons effectivement que c’est le début d’une série\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>

Le mineur français annonce également avoir réalisé un design innovant, sa ferme ne s’aidant ni de climatisation ni de ventilation forcée mais utilisant un système de filtration totalement nouveau. \u00ab\u00a0Notre modèle est très novateur, chaque poste est pensé en termes d’économies d’énergie et de consommables ; les accès pour la maintenance sont simplifiés, chaque machine est monitorée et peut être commandée à distance\u00a0\u00bb, dit Sébastien Gouspillou.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
