Les critiques ont longtemps accusé Tether, le stablecoin lié au dollar américain, d’augmenter le nombre d’unités sur le marché dans le but de faire monter le prix du Bitcoin et des autres cryptomonnaies, mettant en doute les affirmations de l’entreprise qui prétend que 100% des Tethers en circulation ont leur équivalent en dollars dans des comptes en banque.<\/p>

Lubin cependant, a déclaré qu’il “n’était pas sûr que les manipulations de marché soient directement liées à Tether, si jamais elles existent vraiment”. Il a par ailleurs ajouté que Tether, à ses yeux “n’était pas fiable à 100%” et il pense que beaucoups d’autres stablecoins<\/a> vont apparaître et le remplacer.<\/p>

Interrogé sur la dernière correction des prix de l’Ether, le cofondateur de la cryptomonnaie a déclaré qu’il consacrait d’avantage son temps à la création de logiciels qu’au trading.<\/p>

Cependant, il a expliqué qu’il s’attendait à “une série de flambées des prix de l’Ether suivie de corrections. Je pense que chaque pic entraînera un regain d’activité et apportera une infrastructure fondamentale à l’écosystème”.<\/p>

Ethereum a fortement chuté en août: moins 40% en un mois seulement, il a repris des forces ces derniers jours. Beaucoup attribuent l’augmentation des ventes aux ICO qui, en mars dernier, ont essayé de récupérer une partie de l’argent soulevé au cours des deux dernières années. Toutefois, D2 Capital<\/b>, un gestionnaire de portefeuille d’avoirs cryptos, n’est pas d’accord avec cela et affirme que la liquidation actuelle est principalement due à la demande plus faible pour l’ETH. Leurs recherches ont montré que les 100 000 ETH vendus au cours du mois écoulé ne représentent que le tiers de la vente mensuelle moyenne d’ETH de cette année.<\/p>
