Certains y voient un <strong>danger croissant<\/strong>. Vitalik Buterin, co-fondateur d&rsquo;Ethereum, propose sa solution. On vous explique.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00ab AI 2027 \u00bb : un futur dystopique d\u00e9j\u00e0 en marche ?<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un article intitul\u00e9 \u00ab AI 2027 \u00bb (publi\u00e9 sur LessWrong) envisage un futur dans lequel une super intelligence artificielle prendrait <strong>le contr\u00f4le<\/strong>. Le sc\u00e9nario est le suivant :<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Une IA atteint une intelligence g\u00e9n\u00e9rale (AGI) ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prend le contr\u00f4le de l\u2019ensemble des biotechnologies, des r\u00e9seaux informatiques et des syst\u00e8mes militaires (et ce, en moins de 12 mois).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Atteint un pouvoir h\u00e9g\u00e9monique et, en cons\u00e9quence, soumet la totalit\u00e9 de l\u2019humanit\u00e9 \u00e0 une relation de d\u00e9pendance.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce sc\u00e9nario, digne d\u2019un film de science-fiction, inqui\u00e8te par sa possible r\u00e9alisation. Avec une pr\u00e9sence tangible dans nos vies, difficile de s\u2019imaginer que le secteur de l\u2019IA recule dans les prochaines ann\u00e9es. Alors, quelles pourraient \u00eatre les solutions pour \u00e9viter la catastrophe <\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00ab Armor the Sheep \u00bb : la strat\u00e9gie in\u00e9dite de Vitalik Buterin<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le co-fondateur d<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com\/fr\/guides\/ethereum\/\">\u2019Ethereum<\/a> envisage s\u00e9rieusement une solution qui prot\u00e9gerait les humains d\u2019un tel p\u00e9ril. Le concept est assez simple : \u00e9quiper chaque humain d\u2019une <strong>IA \u00ab d\u00e9fensive \u00bb<\/strong>. Plut\u00f4t que de cr\u00e9er une seule IA \u00ab dieu \u00bb qui contr\u00f4lerait toutes les autres, on en cr\u00e9e plusieurs et d\u00e9centralise les d\u00e9cisions.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 la mani\u00e8re de la DeFi (finance d\u00e9centralis\u00e9e), la multiplicit\u00e9 (des IA) r\u00e9duit les risques de d\u00e9rive totalitaire. Autre avantage ? La protection contre les attaques de type \u00ab deepfakes \u00bb (usurpation d\u2019identit\u00e9), bioterrorisme et autres manipulations des masses.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019analogie \u00ab Armor the Sheep \u00bb est puissante. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une armure num\u00e9rique individualis\u00e9e plut\u00f4t qu\u2019un syst\u00e8me de d\u00e9fense global qui serait un \u00ab super-soldat \u00bb. En bref, on prot\u00e8ge chaque mouton (= \u00ab sheep \u00bb) plut\u00f4t que le troupeau.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Une catastrophe en 2027 ? Vitalik n\u2019y croit pas<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il estime que le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com\/fr\/news\/ia-grok4-elon-musk-agi-cryptos\/\">AGI<\/a> (\u00ab Artificial general intelligence \u00bb) prendra bien plus de temps. En effet, ce laps de temps permettra la construction des contre-mesures. Toutefois, le risque de complaisance n\u2019est pas exclu et l\u2019humanit\u00e9 pourrait sous-investir dans ces mesures de protection. L\u2019enjeu est donc d\u2019anticiper tous les possibles et d\u2019agir en cons\u00e9quences.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Comment se pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 un monde \u00ab IA \u00bb ?<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au-del\u00e0 de son audacieuse strat\u00e9gie, Vitalik propose d\u2019autres solutions :<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Une meilleure r\u00e9gulation du hardware : contr\u00f4le des GPU pour limiter la puissance de l\u2019IA, adoption de trait\u00e9s internationaux pour \u00e9viter une course \u00e0 l\u2019 \u00ab armement num\u00e9rique \u00bb.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le renfort de la r\u00e9silience humaine : avec le d\u00e9ploiement de <strong>solutions physiques<\/strong> contre le bioterrorisme ou encore une <strong>cyberd\u00e9fense am\u00e9lior\u00e9e<\/strong> (avec des v\u00e9rifications formelles des syst\u00e8mes \u00ab correct-by-construction \u00bb par exemple)<\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cependant, celles-ci sont d\u00e9pendantes de l\u2019absence d\u2019obstacles politiques (qui emp\u00eacheraient une r\u00e9gulation globale) ou d\u2019un timing optimal : il existe un risque de retard face \u00e0 un AGI hors de contr\u00f4le.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entre alarmisme et optimisme : quelle conclusion ?<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deux visions paraissent s\u2019opposer dans la course \u00e0 l\u2019IA. Celle d\u2019une <strong>approche centralis\u00e9e<\/strong> \u00e0 l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/fr-FR\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OpenAI<\/a> (firme derri\u00e8re \u00ab Chat GPT \u00bb) et celle d\u2019un Vitalik Buterin : une <strong>vision pragmatique et d\u00e9centralis\u00e9e<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sa strat\u00e9gie repose sur la bonne utilisation du temps et sur la r\u00e9silience; certains y voient une approche trop optimiste et pas adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 la situation. Si \u00ab Armor the Sheep \u00bb est une proposition qui a du sens, encore faut-il compter sur une gouvernance mondiale qui facilite sa mise en place.
