La plateforme d’échange de cryptomonnaies nigériane, Patricia, a récemment suscité la confusion et la méfiance en lançant son propre jeton, le PTK. Cette initiative a suscité des questions parmi les utilisateurs et les observateurs du secteur quant à sa nature et à son utilité.<\/p>

La Fonction du Jeton PTK<\/h2><\/span>

Face à cette réaction, Patricia a publié un livre blanc<\/a> pour clarifier la fonction<\/strong> prévue du jeton PTK. Contrairement à une idée répandue, le PTK ne fonctionne pas comme une stablecoin<\/strong>. Il s’agit plutôt d’un jeton de dette<\/strong> émis aux clients dans le but de gérer la dette des utilisateurs<\/strong>. Patricia a comparé son fonctionnement à celui d’un “IOU” (I owe you)<\/strong>, où le jeton reconnaît une dette envers les utilisateurs<\/strong> et promet de rembourser 1 Tether pour chaque PTK<\/strong> à l’avenir.<\/p>

Le jeton PTK est basé sur la blockchain Binance Smart Chain (BSC)<\/strong> et suit le standard BEP-20<\/strong>, garantissant ainsi sa compatibilité et son fonctionnement au sein de l’écosystème existant.<\/p>

Le lancement du PTK survient après une violation de sécurité en avril 2023<\/strong>, entraînant une suspension des retraits et dépôts sur la plateforme<\/strong> Patricia. Selon le livre blanc, les utilisateurs dont les soldes en Bitcoin et en naira ont été convertis en PTK ont la possibilité de les échanger contre des USDT<\/strong>, qui peuvent ensuite être échangés<\/strong> contre d’autres cryptomonnaies ou des monnaies fiduciaires. La valeur en dollars américains de l’actif déterminera toutes les conversions. La nouvelle application Patricia Plus facilitera également l’accès aux jetons PTK<\/strong> pour les clients touchés par la violation, servant ainsi de jetons de dette<\/strong>.<\/p>

L’approche de Patricia n’est pas unique. En 2016, après une perte de 119 756 BTC<\/strong> due à un piratage, Bitfinex avait introduit le BFX<\/strong> pour compenser ses clients. De manière semblable, Patricia cherche à indemniser ses utilisateurs<\/strong> en cas de violation de sécurité. Patricia soutient que son jeton est conforme à la réglementation nigériane<\/strong> et vise à améliorer l’expérience utilisateur. Elle s’engage également à résoudre les problèmes techniques<\/strong> liés à la distribution du PTK.<\/p>

Alors que Patricia fait face à des critiques et à des défis pour établir la valeur et la fiabilité du jeton PTK, son avenir reste incertain. L’adoption et la perception du marché détermineront si le PTK deviendra un succès ou un échec.
