Le premier stablecoin du marché, l’USDT de Tether, continue de renforcer sa présence dans l’écosystème crypto. En effet, la société émettrice du stablecoin a annoncé que ce dernier sera bientôt disponible sur la blockchain de couche 1 basée sur Cosmos, Kava<\/strong>. Kava rejoint ainsi le rang des blockchains hébergeant l’USDT parmi lesquelles se trouvent Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, Polygon, Near Protocol et Bitcoin via Omni.<\/p>

L’USDT, une présence multi-chaîne qui se confirme<\/strong><\/h2><\/span>

La blockchain Kava a été conçue suivant une architecture de type co-chaîne. Cette structure permet de combiner la flexibilité de la machine virtuelle Ethereum avec la vitesse, les faibles frais de transaction et l’interopérabilité du kit de développement logiciel de Cosmos<\/strong>.<\/p>

Le CTO de Tether, Paolo Ardoino<\/strong>, a souligné que l’absence d’incidents techniques ou de sécurité sur la blockchain avait été un des principaux facteurs à l’origine du choix de Kava : <\/p>

« Le réseau Kava est une blockchain unique et largement suivie avec un bilan solide sur quatre ans sans aucun problème de sécurité, ce qui est essentiel pour protéger les utilisateurs de l’USD₮. »<\/p><\/blockquote>

Une mise à niveau majeure a récemment été déployée sur la blockchain Kava, Kava 13. Cette mise à niveau a apporté des améliorations au niveau de l’architecture pour aider les développeurs à faire évoluer et accélérer leurs protocoles<\/strong>. Par ailleurs, cette mise à niveau permet d’optimiser l’expérience utilisateur dans l’écosystème Kava. <\/p>

Une dominance incontestée pour l’USDT<\/strong><\/h2><\/span>

Deux incidents ont récemment attiré l’attention des observateurs et du grand public sur Tether. Le premier est la perte de parité<\/u><\/a> du stablecoin par rapport au dollar américain qui s’est produite dans la journée du 15 juin. Le second concerne les révélations relatives à la situation financière<\/u><\/a> de Tether entre 2019 et 2021. La perte de parité de l’USDT a principalement été attribuée à des transactions effectuées par des baleines<\/strong>. Pour ce qui est du second incident, des documents délivrés par le procureur général de New York ont confirmé que Tether avait procédé à l’octroi de prêts garantis durant cette période<\/strong>. Par ailleurs, ils ont également apporté des précisions sur la situation des réserves de Tether<\/strong>.<\/p>

Ces incidents ont eu un impact mineur sur l’USDT qui continue de dominer largement le secteur des stablecoins<\/strong>. Par ailleurs, comme l’a fait remarqué la société d’analyse on-chain Glassnode<\/strong>, les investisseurs semblent délaisser les altcoins à risque pour se tourner vers des valeurs sûres telles que <\/strong>Bitcoin<\/strong><\/a> et les stablecoins<\/strong>. L’USDT semble avoir absorbé une part importante des liquidités du BUSD de Binance et de l’USDC émis par Circle.<\/p>
