El famoso inversor de valor Bill Miller ha revelado que invirtió el 50% de sus fondos personales en bitcoin (BTC)<\/a> y varios otros criptoactivos, aprovechando la situación bajista de este momento. <\/p>

Miller, fundador y director de inversiones de Miller Value Partners<\/strong>, inicialmente invirtió en la principal criptomoneda en 2014 y luego comenzó a comprarla nuevamente la primavera pasada en medio de un aumento en el interés de las firmas de capital de riesgo.<\/p>

En una entrevista<\/a> reciente con Consuelo Mack de WealthRack, Miller dijo:<\/p>

“Creo que el inversor medio debería preguntarse qué tiene en su cartera que tenga ese tipo de historial: el número uno; está muy, muy poco penetrado; puede brindar un servicio de seguro contra catástrofes financieras que nadie más puede brindar; y puede subir diez o cincuenta veces. Al explicar su decisión de invertir tanto en criptomonedas, Miller se refirió a una conferencia en la que escuchó un discurso de Wences Casares, director ejecutivo de la billetera criptográfica Xapo<\/strong>. Casares dijo que los inversores en economías inestables consideraban que bitcoin era un medio para salvaguardar su riqueza contra la hiperinflación, la nacionalización de los bancos y los gobiernos que confiscaban sus activos, según Miller.<\/p>

“Compré algunos [en 2014], y con el tiempo compré un poco más, y se convirtieron en US$500. Luego dejé de comprarlos. Y no lo compré durante años hasta la primavera de [2021]. Alcanzó un precio alto de US$66.000, y luego en cuatro semanas se redujo a la mitad”, dijo.<\/p>
