El exchange de criptomonedas LCX<\/strong> fue víctima de un hack durante el fin de semana que le quitó casi US$8 millones en activos digitales. <\/p>

El pirata informático logró comprometer una de las billeteras calientes del intercambio sobre la cadena de bloques Ethereum (ETH)<\/a> , robando grandes cantidades de ETH, USD Coin (USDC), EURe y el token SAND.<\/p>

\u00abA las 11:23 p.m. CET del 9 de enero de 2022, el equipo de tecnología de LCX detectó el acceso no autorizado de una billetera criptográfica. Se robaron un total de aproximadamente 7,94 millones de US$ de activos criptográficos. Se congelaron 0,7 millones de US$\u00bb, detalla<\/a> el exchange en un informe.<\/p>

El exchange aún no ha revelado planes para ningún tipo de reembolso, pero insistió en que \u00abharía todo lo posible para mitigar el impacto de este incidente y restaurar el servicio completo lo antes posible\u00bb. También ha detenido las funciones de depósito y retiro.<\/p>

En asociación con la empresa de tecnología financiera Monerium<\/strong>, LCX<\/strong> congeló alrededor de 611,000 tokens EURe robados (por un valor de alrededor de US$692,000).<\/p>

\u00abOtras carteras LCX como Bitcoin ,HBAR, ADA, DGB, TIA o DGMV no se ven afectadas\u00bb, dijo el intercambio.<\/p>

La principal plataforma de seguridad ImmuneFi<\/strong> reveló en un informe<\/a> reciente que los protocolos de criptografía y finanzas descentralizadas ( DeFi ) han perdido acumulativamente más de US$10 mil millones en fondos de usuarios debido a ataques y explotación en 2021. Según se informa, hubo 120 casos de ataques relacionados con criptografía en el pasado año.<\/p>
