Das Mining von Ethereum (ETH)<\/a> soll in den kommenden Wochen sicherer werden, da NortonLifeLock<\/strong>, das Cybersicherheitsunternehmen hinter der beliebten Antivirensoftware Norton 360, eine neue Funktion angekündigt hat, die es den Nutzern der Plattform ermöglicht, Ether zu minen.<\/p>

Ein neues Produkt mit dem Titel Norton Crypto verspricht eine neue Möglichkeit für jedermann, Ethereum zu minen. Es wird zusammen mit Norton Crypto Wallet kommen, die in der Cloud als Schutz gegen Festplattenausfall gespeichert wird, sagte das Unternehmen<\/a>.<\/p>

Norton Crypto Produkt wird voraussichtlich für alle Norton 360 Kunden in den kommenden Wochen verfügbar sein. Ausgewählte Kunden im Early-Adopter-Programm werden bereits eingeladen. So oder so werden die Kunden „bestimmte PC-Hardware“ benötigen, um diesen Service zu nutzen, sagte das Unternehmen.<\/p>

Norton argumentierte, dass viele Miner oft Risiken eingehen müssen, um Krypto zu verdienen, einschließlich, aber nicht beschränkt auf die Deaktivierung ihrer Computer-Sicherheit und erlauben die Ausführung von ungeprüften Code auf ihren Maschinen, die „Skimming von ihren Einnahmen oder sogar das Einpflanzen von Ransomware sein könnte.“<\/p>

Außerdem werden die Einnahmen aus Mining-Aktivitäten oft auf Festplatten gespeichert, wo digitale Wallets leicht kompromittiert werden oder durch einen Hardwareausfall verloren gehen können.<\/p>

„Da die Kryptowirtschaft ein immer wichtigerer Teil des Lebens unserer Kunden wird, wollen wir sie befähigen, mit Norton Kryptowährung zu minen“, sagte Vincent Pilette, CEO von NortonLifeLock, und fügte hinzu, dass dies eine Möglichkeit ist, ihre Cyber-Sicherheitsplattform zu erweitern, „um das sich ständig entwickelnde digitale Leben unserer Kunden zu schützen.“<\/p>

Gagan Singh, Chief Product Officer bei NortonLifeLock, deutete an, dass das Produkt die Krypto-Adoption fördern könnte. Er sagte, dass Norton Crypto es den Nutzern ermöglichen wird, Krypto mit ein paar Klicks zu minen, „um viele Eintrittsbarrieren in das Kryptowährungsökosystem zu vermeiden.“<\/p>

Auch wenn sich die Pressemitteilung auf Ethereum konzentriert, sagte das Unternehmen<\/a> zu CNN, dass es erwägt, andere seriöse Kryptoassets in der Zukunft hinzufügen. <\/p>

Auch wird Norton Crypto Berichten zufolge nicht kostenlos sein, denn das Unternehmen plant angeblich auf das Minen von Coins eine Gebühr von jedem Teilnehmer einzuheben, laut PC Mag<\/a>.<\/p>

Das Unternehmen hat sich nicht zu der Tatsache geäußert, dass Ethereum derzeit dabei ist, sich vom Grafikprozessor (GPU)-intensiven Mining in Richtung Proof-of-Stake basiertem ETH 2.0 <\/a>zu entfernen.<\/p>
