In einem Newsroom Post<\/a> gab Samsung Mobile<\/b>’s Head of Technology Strategy Chai Won-cheol<\/b> an, dass die Galaxy S10 Krypto Wallet Funktion –die derzeit nur für Benutzer in Südkorea, Kanada und den Vereinigten Staaten verfügbar ist – in Kürze auf „andere Länder“ ausgedehnt wird. <\/p>

Chai erklärte, dass „Samsung mit Telekom-Betreibern zusammenarbeiten wird“ bei Projekten, die die „Identifizierung von Blockchain-Technologien und regionalen Währungen [fiats]“ betreffen. Er stellte fest, dass solche Projekte die Grundlage für „große Entwickler und Start-ups“ bilden würden, um mit „neuen Blockchaindiensten“ zu experimentieren. <\/p>

Chai behauptete, dass die Blockchain-Technologie ein „Land der Möglichkeiten für [eine Reihe von] Industrien und Start-ups“ eröffne, und dass dies „im Einklang mit der Produktentwicklungsphilosophie des Unternehmens stehe“.<\/p>

Der technische Leiter stellte auch fest, dass Samsung Mobile eine Reihe von blockchainbezogenen „Kooperationsanfragen in verschiedenen Bereichen“ in Betracht zog.<\/p>

Forbes berichtete<\/a>, dass eine andere Samsung-Tochter, die Investmenteinheit Samsung NEXT<\/b>, kürzlich eine Runde strategischer Finanzierung für Theta Labs<\/b>, den Schöpfer des dezentralen Video-Streaming-Protokolls Theta Network<\/a>, mitgeführt hat. Mitverantwortlich für die Ausschreibung war auch der Wallet-Betreiber Blockchain<\/b>.<\/p>

In diesem Jahr hat Samsung seine Blockchain-Aktivitäten deutlich ausgeweitet.<\/p>

Bis Anfang 2019, als die mobile Einheit des Unternehmens die Markteinführung des S10 und seiner Krypto-Wallets<\/a> ankündigte, hatte Samsung seine Blockchain-Aktivitäten ausschließlich über seinen IT-Dienstleistungsbereich Samsung SDS<\/b> gesteuert. Sie ist jedoch nicht mehr die einzige Samsung-Tochtergesellschaft, die aktiv Blockchain-Dienste und -Produkte vertreibt.<\/p>

Im vergangenen Monat unterzeichnete Samsung SDS eine Vereinbarung<\/a> mit Mahindra<\/b>, einer der größten indischen Unternehmensgruppen, in einer Vereinbarung, die die beiden Unternehmen die Samsung NexLedger Blockchain-Plattform in Südasien bewerben wird.<\/p>
