Goerli 测试网合并是以太坊 (ETH) 在区块链从其当前的工作量证明 (PoW\/ proof-of-work) 机制过渡到股权证明 (PoS\/ proof-of-stake) 之前的第三次也是最后一次测试网合并，表面上已经成功。<\/p>

合并于八月十一日 1:45 UTC 左右执行。测试网合并见证了 Goerli 测试网与 Prater 测试网（一个 PoS 的信标链）合并，并代表了实际合并发生之前的最终测试运行。<\/p>

当目前的以太坊主网将与信标链 PoS 系统进行合并时，这项合并将会是以太坊备受期待的升级。之前的两个测试网合并，Ropsten 和 Sepolia，基本上是成功的，而 Goerli 似乎也很成功。<\/p>

然而，Goerli 测试网的合并过程并不是很顺畅。以太坊开发人员 Marius van der Wijden 表示，其实开发人员之前无法让 Goerli 结束，因为“由于两个不同的终端块 (terminal blocks) 和许多未更新的节点，该网路上出现了一些混乱。”然而，他补充说，到目前为止，“它看起来相当不错。”<\/p>

当被问及这两个终端块以及假设它是主网而不是测试网会如何影响合并时，Wijden 说理论上这可能会发生，并且他们“有代码 (code) 来处理两个终端块”。他还表示，如果这是主网，合并将会成功。<\/p>
