A Currency.com<\/strong>, uma plataforma online de negociação de criptomoedas com sede na Bielorrússia, disse que se tornou alvo de um ataque cibernético fracassado no dia em que a exchange anunciou que estava interrompendo os serviços aos residentes da Rússia. <\/p>

A exchange confirmou o ataque em um comunicado à imprensa, detalhando que foi um ataque cibernético distribuído de “negação de serviço” (DDoS) tentado em 12 de abril, afirmou a empresa. <\/p>

Um ataque distribuído de negação de serviço (DDoS) é uma forma de tentativa maliciosa em que um invasor inunda um servidor com tráfego da Internet para impedir que os usuários acessem serviços e sites online conectados. <\/p>

A exchange disse que tomou medidas imediatas para garantir que seus sistemas de segurança cibernética não fossem afetados, notificou as autoridades e alertou sua rede global de profissionais de TI. Desde então, os servidores da empresa estão funcionando. <\/p>

Conforme relatado<\/a>, a exchange anunciou em 12 de abril que está interrompendo seus serviços aos residentes da Rússia devido à invasão agressiva do país à Ucrânia, que deixou milhares de mortos e milhões de desabrigados. <\/p>

A empresa, que tem escritórios em Chipre, EUA, Reino Unido e Gibraltar, disse que doou mais de US$ 1 milhão para instituições de caridade humanitárias na Ucrânia.
