Por&eacute;m, segundo o Wall Street Journal, h&aacute;, sim, uma investiga&ccedil;&atilde;o em andamento, liderada por promotores do gabinete da procuradoria em Manhatan (Nova York). <\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De acordo com a reportagem, o governo dos Estados Unidos est&aacute; analisando se terceiros usaram a Tether para apoiar atividades ilegais &ndash; como, por exemplo, tr&aacute;fico de drogas, terrorismo e crimes cibern&eacute;ticos. Al&eacute;m disso, investiga a empresa por poss&iacute;vel lavagem de dinheiro associada a essas opera&ccedil;&otilde;es.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nesse sentido, o Departamento do Tesouro dos Estados Unidos estaria considerando aplicar san&ccedil;&otilde;es contra a Tether. Nesse caso, &eacute; citado o uso da empresa por grupos j&aacute; sancionados pelo pa&iacute;s, como negociadores de armas russos. Transa&ccedil;&otilde;es di&aacute;rias envolvendo seu token nativo, USDT, envolvem uma m&eacute;dia de US$ 190 bilh&otilde;es.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O valor da criptomoeda Tether est&aacute; atrelado ao d&oacute;lar. Consequentemente, essa estabilidade atrai investidores em regi&otilde;es onde transa&ccedil;&otilde;es em d&oacute;lar s&atilde;o restringidas. <\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A investiga&ccedil;&atilde;o sobre a <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com\/br\/noticias\/banco-central-quer-regular-stablecoins-e-tokenizacao-em-2025\/\">stablecoin<\/a> vem se intensificando, por conta de supostas liga&ccedil;&otilde;es a atividades que envolvem quest&otilde;es de seguran&ccedil;a nacional &ndash; assim como o programa nuclear da Coreia do Norte e cart&eacute;is de drogas mexicanos.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O Departamento de Justi&ccedil;a iniciou esse processo h&aacute; v&aacute;rios anos. Inicialmente, o objetivo era analisar se os apoiadores financeiros da Tether estariam envolvidos em fraudes banc&aacute;rias. A alega&ccedil;&atilde;o era de falsifica&ccedil;&atilde;o de documentos para obter acesso a sistemas financeiros globais. <\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com\/br\/noticias\/tether-emissora-da-stablecoin-usdt-planeja-fornecer-emprestimos-para-traders\/\">Tether<\/a> respondeu &agrave;s alega&ccedil;&otilde;es por meio de um comunicado, no qual afirma que &eacute; ultrajante sugerir que a empresa apoiaria atividade criminais. <\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al&eacute;m disso, a companhia enfatizou sua longa coopera&ccedil;&atilde;o com autoridades dos Estados Unidos, e tamb&eacute;m internacionais, no sentido de coibir atividades il&iacute;citas. Por fim, a empresa enfatizou que a transpar&ecirc;ncia p&uacute;blica da tecnologia blockchain aumentam a vigil&acirc;ncia.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recentemente, a Tether bloqueou 1.850 wallets, recuperando US$ 114 milh&otilde;es em ativos. Isso porque a empresa poderia estar conectada a autoridades chinesas e russas, bem como a organiza&ccedil;&otilde;es terroristas e cart&eacute;is de drogas.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Tether &eacute; acusada de permitir que usu&aacute;rios de pa&iacute;ses como Venezuela e R&uacute;ssia contornassem san&ccedil;&otilde;es. Nesse sentido, h&aacute; alega&ccedil;&otilde;es de que tanto empresas estatais como criminosos estariam utilizando o USDT.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por fim, outra <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/finance\/currencies\/tether-crypto-us-dollar-sanctions-52f85459\">reportagem do WSJ<\/a> enfatizou o crescimento da Tether como uma esp&eacute;cie de &#8220;d&oacute;lar inc&oacute;gnito, permitindo a movimenta&ccedil;&atilde;o de grandes quantidades de capital sem regula&ccedil;&atilde;o.  <\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O impressionante lucro de US$ 6,2 bilh&otilde;es da Tether em 2023, conquistado com uma pequena &#8220;for&ccedil;a de trabalho&#8221;, levantou preocupa&ccedil;&otilde;es com rela&ccedil;&atilde;o ao seu impacto no sistema financeiro
