\nتشهد تايوان تزايداً ملحوظاً في حالات الرشوة باستخدام عملتي بيتكوين<\/a> (Bitcoin-BTC) وإيثيريوم<\/a> (Ethereum-ETH)، وذلك وفقاً لادعاء وزارة العدل في البلاد، والتي حذّرت -كما جاء في صحيفة China Times<\/a>– بأنّ قضايا الفساد الحالية لم تعد تقتصر على استخدام العملات الرسمية (النقدية)، مشيرةً إلى “بروز” عملتي BTC وETH إلى جانب عملاتٍ رقميةٍ أخرى كأدواتٍ مستخدمةٍ في قضايا الفساد.<\/p>

وأعربَ الجهاز الحكوميّ المتمثل بوزارة العدل عن خوفه من استخدام رائدتي قطاع الكريبتو -عملتي بيتكوين وإيثيريوم- فضلاً عن أصولٍ رقميةٍ أخرى “كطرقٍ للرشوة عبر تمويل الحملات الانتخابيّة”، وذلك قبيل الانتخابات العامة المُزمَع عقدها السنة القادمة، ومن المقرّر أن يتوجّه مواطنو تايوان لصناديق الاقتراع من أجل انتخاب رئيسٍ جديد للبلاد منتصف شهر كانون الثاني\/يناير مطلع العام المقبل.<\/p>

ومن جانبها، صرّحت وزارة العدل بأنّ كلّاً من قوات الشرطة والمدّعين العامين “منعوا بشكلٍ كبيرٍ” استخدام العملات الرقمية بالإضافة إلى “وسائلَ” أخرى في عمليات الرشوة والفساد، بحيث لن يكون لهذه الأدوات “تأثيرٌ ملموسٌ على أرض الواقع” في الانتخابات العامّة التي تترقّبها البلاد.<\/p>

وفي سياقٍ متصلٍ، أشارت الوزارة آنفة الذكر بأنّ “الطرق” المستخدمة من قبل الأشخاص الساعين لرشوة عدد من المسؤولين الحكوميين “تتغيّر يومياً”، بحيث “لم يعد الأمر مقتصراً” على الرشاوى النقديّة.<\/p>

وفضلاً عن العملات الرقمية، تقدّم الرشاوى للمسؤولين الفاسدين عبر منصّات الدفع الإلكترونيّ من خلال الهواتف المحمولة مثل Line Pay وPi Wallet، إلى جانب منصّتي Jiekou وOufubao، وذلك قبيل البدء بالانتخابات وفقاً لما ذكرته وزارة العدل التايوانيّة؛ وأضاف المصدر نفسه بأنّ مكافآتٍ وجوائز تصل قيمتها إلى ملايين الدولارات تلقاها أفرادٌ قاموا بإعلام الشرطة عن حالات رشوة مشتبهٍ بها وقعت خلال العقدين الماضيين.<\/p>

Taiwanese Bitcoin, ETH Bribery Cases Rise – Who Are Corrupt Officials?<\/h2>

\nPer figures released by the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office, “a total of 1,335 cases” of corruption were processed in the wake of last year’s municipal elections.<\/p>

Over 700 people have been brought to trial on election-related corruption charges.<\/p>

Officials caught taking bribes include ex-members of Taiwan’s executive body, former central government officials, a mayor, a city council speaker, and a deputy speaker, as well as other high-ranking public office-holders.<\/p>

Last month, one of Taiwan’s biggest telecommunications firms, Taiwan Mobile, was reported to have entered talks with a number of local crypto platforms<\/a>.<\/p>
